FAQ

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY NEWBORN SESSION?

When we book a newborn session, I use your due date as a temporary placeholder on my calendar. This way I know how many babies I will need to make room for that month. Newborn sessions are best done between 5-14 days of age, however I can go out as far as 21 days. This is because babies are most sleepy, flexible, undisturbed by movement and baby acne hasn't kicked in yet. By 6 days old, baby should be taking regular feedings and nursing mommas will have established their milk supply. It is best to book at least 8 weeks before your due date to ensure availability and message me as soon as you are back from the hospital to lock in a date. Pre-booked clients receive booking priority.

HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL PHOTO SESSION LAST?

The duration of a photo session varies depending on the type and scope of the project. Family portrait sessions typically range from 1 to 2 hours, while Maternity and Newborns can span up to 3 hours. We strive to provide ample time to capture all the important moments and ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session. Babies other than newborns tend to only last about 45 minutes (like first birthday sessions) so we'll just keep that in mind when booking the session.

FAQ

WHAT IS YOUR TURN AROUND TIME FOR MY FINAL EDITED PHOTOS?

We understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos. The gallery prep process typically takes 2 weeks. We prioritize quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations. You'll view your complete and final images at your gallery reveal appointment.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS UNFAVORABLE ON OUR SESSION DAY?

If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of an outdoor session, we can discuss alternatives such as rescheduling or booking the studio or equal alternative. I want to ensure the best possible outcome for your photos, and I'm flexible in adapting to unforeseen circumstances.

FAQ

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Yes! I can offer weekly or bi-weekly payment plans as well as AfterPay for all product purchases. We can discuss what works best for your family at your gallery reveal. Since I make sure you have a pricing guide before your appointment we can also plan ahead for any and all purchases.

WHAT IF OLDER SIBLINGS AREN’T COOPERATIVE?

No worries at all! Let’s consider the big changes your child is going through. It’s a mix of excitement, feeling overwhelmed, and maybe even a little nervous about sharing Mom and Dad. But it’s also a thrilling time as they step into their new role as a big brother or sister. I make sure they feel just as special as the baby, and I have a few tricks to get them involved that help capture those adorable sibling shots that parents and grandparents love.

As a mom of three, I totally understand. It requires a bit of extra patience—something I’m well-equipped with. Since a portrait studio tends to be boring for siblings, I ask you bring them at the end of the session for their portion.
