Please allow 2 weeks from your session date for me to complete your final proofing gallery. I will then schedule your in studio gallery reveal appointment where you will make your photo purchases. Prints and product delivery will be 2-4 weeks depending on the product purchased. Digital purchases are an immediate delivery.
Of course! During your consultation we will discuss which option works best for you and your family.
Your proofing gallery will hold about 30+ images to choose from, but you control your budget. Only purchase what you would like to see on your walls. Clients on average spend $500+ on session heirlooms.
I finalize every image with my own artistic recipe. Blemishes, skin smoothing, fly-always, brightening faces and background clean up are all within my normal workflow. Further requests for editing may be discussed at your gallery reveal. Any edit requests after product delivery will not be accepted.
It's best to get on the books at least a month before your session as spots are limited. I typically photograph Maternity clients between 30 and 35 weeks. I prefer to photograph Newborns under 2 weeks of age so if you are a Newborn client please be sure to get your due date on my calendar to lock in availability for that month. September through January is busy season, as well as March-May. My in-studio sessions are scheduled Monday-Saturday 9am-4pm. Outdoor sessions are Friday and Saturday evenings only. Sundays I am home with my family.
Coordinating colors with your family help the aesthetic flow of your portraits. Allow personalities to shine while complimenting the walls of your home or nursery. Try to avoid busy patterns or character shirts as they can be distracting. My best advice is to pick one color and disperse the variations of that color palette throughout the family. Also, by adding different textures, layers and accessories you are adding depth and interest to your photos. So this is the time to accessorize and wear that favorite necklace, bracelet or watch!
With only dark room experience from High School, in April of 2010 I leaped into the digital age of photography with my very first DSLR camera. I spent the following 2 years sharpening my skills and knowledge about digital photography and opened for business. In 2015, I decided I wanted to specialize in Newborn Portraits! I have taken several online training courses, perfected my creative workflow, researched all safety aspects and gained hours of experience so those most important to you will be in the best of hands.
